"City Dreamers" - Female architects, town planners, activists. Women who conceive city plans are not merely "ladies pondering over sheets of paper," but true rebels fighting for equal space for us all. They must have fought much harder than men to have their ideas (and their work) accepted. They’ve reached their goal, and thanks to that we can all see that urban space can be planned out to suit everyone’s needs.

"Fat Front" - Some may criticize the body positive movement for "promoting ugliness," but one thing remains obvious : our bodies belong to us and no one else . Those who are not in sync with the one and only size table promoted by chainstores, need to fight for their identity to be treated with the respect it deserves. The line of conflict falls where our culture imposes norms that only a few can or are willing to meet.

"For Sama" - A Syrian journalist creates a visual diary for her little daughter to document the everyday life in times of war and terror. Motherhood depicted during military conflict, neverending fear, and shocking footage put us right in the middle of the rubble and the scent of burning homes. A must-see for all the lucky representatives of the western world.

"Matangi / MAYA / M.I.A." - I just can’t overlook a film about an artist, who seamlessly blends cultures and fires up parties with her unique style. How is it possible that a daughter of a Tamil rebel is taking global dance clubs by storm and performs with Madonna showing her middle finger? Watch it on your dancefloor.

"Westwood: Punk, Icon, Activist" - I might have just as well left the title to speak for the film itself. But the voice of this feisty designer cannot go unheard in today’s world of fashion, drenched in triviality and consumerism.
